Overview
Mercy Hands Europe is a women-led, Geneva-based NGO transforming solidarity into locally led, climate-smart action.
Across the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa, we stand alongside communities affected by conflict and crisis to rebuild livelihoods, strengthen food systems, and safeguard human dignity. Rather than implementing projects on their behalf, we equip trusted local partners to drive sustainable change from within.
By investing in grassroots organisations and civil society, we help ensure that short-term support becomes long-term resilience.
Our work bridges food security, regenerative agriculture, education, access to water (WASH), women’s and youth economic empowerment, protection, and health — linking immediate needs to long-term sustainable development.
🌱 Focus: Ethiopia
In Ethiopia, we advance locally led initiatives that strengthen livelihoods, expand access to clean water, and promote education and youth empowerment — alongside sustainable agriculture and climate-resilient food value chains.
From value chain development to community-led farming, our approach generates income, reinforces food security, and builds environmental resilience for the future.
