At Le Petit Escabeau, our volunteers have been making a real impact by supporting refugee children in their educational journey. Through tutoring, mentoring, and simply being present, they offer encouragement, guidance, and stability to young learners navigating a new life and school system.

As we continue this important work, we are looking for new volunteers to join our team—especially individuals who are ready to step in as mentors and informal educators for children and teens in need of academic support and personal encouragement.

What We Do
Le Petit Escabeau provides educational support to refugee and newly arrived children in Geneva. Our mission is to:

Support school integration
Offer homework assistance and tutoring
Provide mentorship and emotional encouragement
Create a safe, trusting environment for learning and growth
Our volunteers are at the heart of this mission, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication.

Join Us This Summer
We are currently recruiting volunteers for summer 2025. This is a perfect time to sign up and get involved. Whether you are a teacher, student, professional, or simply someone who cares—you can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.

No formal teaching degree is required—just a commitment to be present, patient, and supportive.

How You Can Help
Offer homework support and tutoring in core subjects (French, math, etc.)
Mentor and guide children through the Swiss school system
Build trust and provide emotional encouragement
Support learning in a welcoming and inclusive setting

Au Petit Escabeau, nos bénévoles jouent un rôle essentiel en accompagnant les enfants réfugiés dans leur parcours scolaire. Par le soutien scolaire, le mentorat et une présence bienveillante, ils offrent aux jeunes un cadre stable, de l'encouragement et les outils nécessaires pour avancer sereinement dans leur nouvelle vie.

Pour poursuivre cette mission, nous recherchons de nouveaux bénévoles, prêts à s’impliquer en tant que mentors et accompagnants éducatifs pour des enfants et adolescents ayant besoin de soutien scolaire et d’orientation.

Notre mission
Le Petit Escabeau offre un appui éducatif aux enfants réfugiés et nouvellement arrivés à Genève. Notre objectif est de :

Favoriser l'intégration scolaire
Apporter une aide aux devoirs et un accompagnement pédagogique
Offrir un cadre de confiance et de motivation
Créer un espace d'écoute, d’apprentissage et de développement
Nos bénévoles sont au cœur de cette action, et leur engagement fait toute la différence.

Aucun diplôme en enseignement n’est requis – seule compte votre envie d’être là, avec patience et bienveillance.
