About Partage

Partage is Geneva’s official food bank, committed to reducing food insecurity and food waste across the canton. Since its establishment in 2005, Partage has been collecting unsold food and hygiene products from local businesses and redistributing them to social institutions that support individuals and families in need.

Samedi du Partage – A Community Effort

Samedi du Partage is one of Partage’s most significant initiatives, held twice a year. During this event, volunteers encourage supermarket shoppers to donate non-perishable food and hygiene items, which are then distributed to those in need.

How It Works

Supermarket shoppers donate food and hygiene products at participating locations.

Volunteers collect and sort these donations for redistribution.

Partage delivers the items to social institutions that support struggling families and individuals.

Volunteer Hub – Mobilizing Support

Volunteer Hub has been a key partner in helping Partage recruit and organize volunteers for Samedi du Partage. We mobilize both local and refugee volunteers to support this impactful initiative.
